Given the friction this week over Patrick’s feast day falling during holy week, it is hard to pick someone other than Patrick as the person of the week. I’m not going to try to do Patrick justice in a summary because he is just too big of a topic. The best thing you can do this week is to read Patrick’s Confessio, accepted as genuine by medieval scholars, and the Lorica or Breastplate of St Patrick, generally not believed to be actually by him, is also well known.

Didn’t Marie de France write something on St. Patrick?
