At sundown tonight, the Christmas season begins and continues for the next 12 days, until the eve of Epiphany January 5th.
As for our pilgrimage with Brendan, recall that he is still on the Isle of St Ailbe, getting a whole loaf of bread per person for the feast day, but otherwise maintaining silence except for singing in the church.
